Ghost Whisperer is an American supernatural show, that follows the life of Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. While trying to live as normal a life as possible, Melinda helps them cross over into the light to the other side by working as an owner of an antique store, sometimes dealing with people who push her away, and disbelieve her ability.
She is the owner of an antique shop called “Same as it Never Was”. Ghosts seek Melinda’s help in relaying a message or completing a task that will put the spirit to rest, and allow them to cross over into The Light, which is possibly heaven. Those who died with unfinished business become earth-bound and can not cross over, and Melinda helps them as their earthly representative to find peace. The show does not see the ghosts as having sinned or not; rather it is the spirits’ own guilt that condemns them, and their own fear of judgement that keeps them from going to heaven.

The group moves on to take the submarine to escape. However, right before leaving, Jack Shephard pushes the Man in Black into the sea, following Sawyer’s advice to leave him behind. At the same time, an ambush occurs with Charles Widmore’s men attacking the group. During the fight, Kate gets shot. In the end, everyone except Claire and the Man in Black escapes in the submarine. However, all is not as it seems. The Man in Black had left explosives in a backpack he gave to Jack.
As the submarine dives, Jack discovers a bomb set by the fake Locke. He urges everyone not to attempt to defuse it, believing that the Man in Black is not able to kill them directly and is trying to trick them into doing the job for him.
After Sawyer ignores Jack’s advice and attempts to defuse the bomb, the timer stops momentarily and then begins counting down faster. Sayid grabs the bomb and runs with it, giving his life when the bomb blows up, in an attempt to save the others. As the submarine goes down from the resulting explosion, Sun is trapped/crushed by metal bars. Jin refuses to leave her side, telling her, “I will never leave you again.” A scene is shown of their hands, releasing their grip, floating in the water as the submarine sinks into the depths.

Meanwhile, the crew on the Destiny continues their attempt at gaining access to the ship’s flight controls, so they can rescue Eli, Chloe, Scott and Greer.

The band’s bass guitarist, Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan), has been arrested for possessing drugs, and Charles requires Desmond to collect and deliver him to Daniel’s event. Upon their meeting, Charlie tells Desmond that he recently almost died after swallowing a bag of heroin, and in his near-death state experienced an intense, blissful vision in which he was with a blonde woman.

In 1867, Richard, known as Ricardo, lives in the Canary Islands with his extremely sick wife, Isabella (Mirelly Taylor). He travels to a doctor in order to obtain medicine, but the doctor refuses Ricardo’s meek payment and Ricardo accidentally kills the man when they struggle over the medicine. Ricardo returns to home to find that his wife has died and he is subsequently arrested. In prison, he is visited by a priest, who, after learning that Ricardo can speak English, tells him that he will be hanged. The priest, however, accepts a bribe and allows Ricardo to be taken as a slave to the New World aboard the Black Rock. The ship is caught in a storm and runs aground on the island, after crashing through the statue of Taweret and smashing it to pieces.
